U.S. District Court Judge Jed Rakoff, in reviewing and approving the settlement, noted that the lead counsel had made “very full and well-crafted” and “excellent submissions”; that there was a “very fine job done by plaintiffs’ counsel in this case”; and that this was “surely a very good result under all the facts and circumstances.”
