Nissan Pathfinder Transmission Litigation and Class Action Information
The law office of Berger Montague filed a class action lawsuit against Nissan North America for the malfunction of the Continuously Variable Transmission (“CVT”) in Nissan’s 2013 and 2014 Pathfinder vehicles. The malfunction involves a “shuddering” or extreme vibration when driving the vehicle, which poses a risk of damage or injury. However, the firm’s suit does not cover Nissan’s recall to correct problems with a hose clamp as reported to the National Highway Transportation Safety Board (NHTSB).
This case reached a settlement agreement in October 2016. On June 29, 2017, the Court granted final approval of the settlement, as well as approval of attorney’s fees and costs. A copy of the order is available here.
