Berger Montague are co-counsel to Certified Class in Airline Baggage Fee Antitrust MDL
August 5, 2015 — A Georgia judge certified a class of all Delta and AirTran passengers who paid a fee for a first checked bag from 2008 through the present. The lawsuit alleges that Delta and Airtran “collud[ed] to impose a fee for a first checked bag, with AirTran agreeing to impose such a fee once Delta did so, in order for both carriers to profit off consumers without sacrificing market share.”
Berger Montague is co-counsel to plaintiffs in the consolidated multidistrict litigation. The case is In re: Delta/AirTran Baggage Fee Antitrust Litigation, case number 1:09-md-02089, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
