Biography

Mariyam Hussain, Senior Counsel, is a member of the Firm’s Employment Law and Trafficking and Forced Labor practice groups in Chicago. Ms. Hussain primarily focuses on wage theft and forced labor cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hussain developed interdisciplinary impact litigation cases and legal strategies to advance economic and social justice. She also represented migrant farmworkers in Illinois, filing cases alleging racketeering, human trafficking, forced labor, and FLSA violations.

Ms. Hussain has dedicated her career to representing workers in the public, non-profit, and private sectors. Ms. Hussain received her JD and BA from DePaul University College and her MA from the University of London.
