Berger Montague Named a 2018 Elite Trial Lawyers Finalist

Berger Montague is proud to announce that the firm has been named a 2018 Elite Trial Lawyers finalist by The National Law Journal in four areas of law—Environmental Protection, Pharmaceutical Litigation, Privacy/Data Breach, and Racial Discrimination. The winners for each category will be announced at the Elite Trial Lawyers event on October 5, 2018, at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Editors and reporters from The National Law Journal and its parent company, ALM, reviewed more than 300 submissions across 23 categories to arrive at its list of finalists. According to The National Law Journal, “the lawyers and law firms selected as finalists have demonstrated exemplary performance in cutting-edge work on behalf of plaintiffs over the last 18 months.”

The nomination criteria included that a firm score at least one significant plaintiffs win between January 1, 2017, and April 30, 2018, and possess an impressive record of success within the past three to five years. A “significant win” means prevailing in a bench or jury trial or in a major settlement in which the stakes are high; for example, a substantial amount of money is involved or the outcome could affect litigation strategy or the results in similar cases.

Cases from Berger Montague’s Antitrust, Environment & Public Health, Government Representation, Predatory Lending and Borrowers’ Rights, Technology, Privacy & Data Breach, and Whistleblower, Qui Tam & False Claims Act Practice Groups were highlighted in the award submission.
