Berger Montague Appointed Interim Class Counsel in Morgan Stanley Cash Sweep Case

Berger Montague, a national plaintiffs’ law firm, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed Interim Class Counsel along with co-counsel in a proposed class action arising out of Morgan Stanley’s cash sweep program. The lawsuit alleges that Morgan Stanley drastically under-paid interest to its clients who were in the cash sweep program in violation of its fiduciary and contractual duties.

“Berger Montague remains at the forefront of recent litigation against financial institutions that maintain unlawful cash sweep programs,” said Michael Dell’Angelo, Executive Shareholder and General Counsel of Berger Montague. “We are actively involved in ten cash sweep cases. These financial institutions have kept the interest rates paid on their cash sweep programs artificially low, enriching themselves at their clients’ expense.”

The Berger Montague team leading these cash sweep cases are Mr. Dell’Angelo and Senior Counsel Alex B. Heller, along with many other attorneys at the firm.
