Joshua Davis to Give Keynote on the Potential Implications of AI at the 2024 Bay Area MCLE Conference
Shareholder Joshua P. Davis is the keynote speaker at this year’s Bay Area MCLE Conference. The two-day conference, held November 19-20, 2024, is completely virtual. The Marin County Bar Association hosts the conference in partnership with ten local Bar Associations.
Mr. Davis’ opening keynote will be on November 19 at 12:00 PM PST. His session is titled, “Whether AI May Become Conscious, How It May Become Conscious, and Why It Matters for Ethics and Law.” It will explore whether or not AI can overcome its current limitations and achieve consciousness, and what effects that consciousness would have on how our society makes legal and moral judgments.
In addition to managing Berger Montague’s San Francisco office, Mr. Davis is also Chair of the Firm’s Complex Litigation Ethics department. The practice provides other law firms and lawyers with counsel, representation, and expert testimony on a range of ethics issues affecting conflicts of interest, litigation funding, settlements, solicitation, and more.
To attend Mr. Davis’ keynote, register for the Bay Area MCLE Conference.
