Jake Kalphat-Losego

Biography

Jake Kalphat-Losego is Counsel in the Consumer department based out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.  Mr. Kalphat-Losego represents consumers wrongfully denied the ability to participate in basic parts of our economic life as a result of inaccuracies in their credit and background check reports.  Mr. Kalphat-Losego is dedicated to leveraging his practice to serve those who otherwise would be overwhelmed by the complexities of our legal system and the brute force of powerful corporations and their large teams of attorneys.

Prior to joining Berger Montague, Mr. Kalphat-Losego worked as an associate attorney with a large plaintiff’s firm representing pension funds, their members, and other minority stockholders in complex class action litigation alleging violations of the federal securities laws and various state corporate laws.  Prior to beginning practice, Mr. Kalphat-Losego graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.  During law school, he worked with the Consumer Protection and Affirmative Litigation Division of the Los Angeles County Counsel’s Office, served as a Managing Articles Editor for the Michigan Technology Law Review, and served as a Co-Executive Articles Editor for the Michigan Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review. 

Prior to law school, Mr. Kalphat-Losego worked for several years as a paralegal for the Florida Department of Children & Families, where he managed a large number of matters aimed at providing vital services and assistance to troubled families and children experiencing displacement, abuse, and neglect.
