Biography
Jonathan Lester is an Associate in the Firm’s Philadelphia Office and practices in the Securities and Consumer practice groups. Jonathan utilizes his background in accounting and corporate compliance to successfully litigate complex financial and data-driven cases.
Before joining the Firm, Jonathan served as an assistant attorney general in the Charities Bureau of the New York Attorney General’s Office. As an assistant attorney general, Jonathan served the people of New York by investigating mismanagement and misuse of charitable funds. Jonathan also achieved positive results for the people of New York in People v. The National Rifle Association of America, Inc. et al (NY Commercial Division) and People v. Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York, et al. (NY Supreme Court). Prior to his work at the New York Attorney General’s office, Jonathan was an attorney at a defense firm located in New York City.
Jonathan graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School. While in law school, he served as an Executive Articles Editor on the Boston College Law Review, co-chaired the Law Review’s Diversity Committee, and served as Treasurer of the Lambda Law student group. Prior to law school, Jonathan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at the University of Illinois and spent ten years working in forensic accounting and corporate compliance roles.
