Biography
Julie Wilson Pittman is Counsel in the Firm’s Antitrust group, where she focuses on electronic discovery and complex pretrial practice. Before joining the Firm, Ms. Pittman worked in the pretrial practice unit for the Multi-District Opioid Litigation bellwether, which resulted in more than $62 million for her firm.
After graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law, Ms. Pittman was appointed counsel to the Alabama Supreme Court. During her seven-year tenure, she served as senior advisor to Justices Henry B. Stegall, Terry L. Butts, and Champ Lyons, Jr., assisting with the rollout of Alabama’s landmark tort reform legislation.
Ms. Pittman later joined the predecessor of CVS Caremark as Operations Counsel, working directly with the General Counsel to dissolve the company’s $2 billion physician management division. She then transitioned to practice with a regional Southeastern firm, where her matters included class action litigation against the Chicago Housing Authority on behalf of public housing residents harmed by environmental contaminants, as well as litigation against the Tennessee Valley Authority on behalf of customers overcharged under Economy Surplus Power contracts. Ms. Pittman subsequently expanded her practice to focus on all aspects of electronic discovery in plaintiff-centered complex litigation, including forensic analysis and litigation involving discovery abuses and electronic spoliation.
