Were You or a Loved One Injured by a Defective SharkNinja Pressure Cooker?
Berger Montague is investigating claims on behalf of individuals who were severely injured by SharkNinja pressure cookers that allegedly exploded or malfunctioned during normal use. If you or a family member sustained burn injuries, scalding, or other trauma from a SharkNinja pressure cooker, you may qualify to file a product liability lawsuit.

Foodi Pressure Cooker Recall
On May 1, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and SharkNinja announced a recall of around 1.84 million SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers.
SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers were recalled because their lids can open during use, potentially causing hot food contents and steam to escape, which poses a risk of serious burn injuries to users. There have been 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body, with 26 lawsuits filed.
Safety Risk
Despite claims of advanced safety mechanisms, the recalled SharkNinja models have allegedly failed to properly vent pressure, leading to sudden lid detachment or uncontrolled steam release. Users have also described the pressure cooker giving inconsistent feedback, making it difficult to know when it is safe to open the product.
Common issues reported:
- Lack of adequate consumer warnings
- Exploding lids while under pressure
- Inaccurate safety valve performance
- Steam burns and splash injuries from hot food or liquid
Recalled Models
The recall applies to the below SharkNinja models. The cookers have functions that include pressure cooking and air frying. They were sold in black and have a 6.5-quart capacity. “Ninja” is printed on the front of each unit and on the product label.
