Biography

Raymond Tamayo is Counsel in the Firm’s Antitrust group, focusing on complex pretrial practice. He previously worked in the pretrial practice unit on the Multi-District Opioid Litigation bellwether, which resulted in just over $62 million for his firm.  His experience also includes high-stakes matters involving the False Claims Act.

After earning his undergraduate degree from Boston University and his J.D. from New England Law, Mr. Tamayo began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida, gaining extensive trial experience. He later served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida in the Consumer Protection Division, focusing on violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, the state-level counterpart to the Federal Trade Commission Act.  His diverse background also includes several years in private practice with a general real estate firm, handling both transactional and litigation matters.

He is admitted to practice law in Florida, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
