In 2003, Berger Montague filed a class action suit against American Isuzu Motors, Inc. and Isuzu Motors Ltd. on behalf of purchasers or lessees of 1998 and 1999 Isuzu Amigo and Rodeo automobiles who incurred economic damages in connection with accidents caused by the alleged failure of the vehicles’ anti-lock brake system (“ABS”).

The Complaint alleged that the vehicles contained defects in certain ABS components, asserting claims for breach of warranty and consumer fraud.

In 2006, Berger Montague, as sole lead counsel for the class, obtained a settlement whereby class members recovered up to $500 each for economic damages resulting from accidents caused by the faulty brakes.
