Chambers USA Recognizes Berger Montague as a Leading Plaintiff Antitrust Firm for 23 Years and Recognizes the Whistleblower Team for More Than $1.9 Billion in Post-Trial Judgments
Chambers has released its prestigious 2026 USA Guide and Berger Montague’s False Claims Act, Qui Tam, & Whistleblower Department has debuted on the False Claims Act: Plaintiff ranking. The firm’s Antitrust Department achieved Chambers’ highest national Antitrust ranking (Band 1), as a noted leading national plaintiff antitrust law firm, for the 23rd year.
“We had a remarkable year with our whistleblower trial and post-trial wins,” said Executive Shareholder and Chair Emeritus Sherrie Savett. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s work with the Janssen and Caremark care where we obtained verdicts that became more than $1.9 billion in post-trial judgments”.
Chambers recognized our Antitrust department, with San Francisco office supervisor Joshua P. Davis and recently promoted shareholder Julia McGrath, for the first time in 2026. Firm Chairman Eric L. Cramer, in the top tier nationwide for both antitrust and plaintiffs’ side advocacy, and Executive Shareholder David F. Sorensen also received a high ranking in both categories. Shareholder and Antitrust Department Co-Chair Caitlin G. Coslett was highlighted for her high ranking in Pennsylvania. Additionally, our Pennsylvania, DC, and California offices were recognized for their antitrust work.
“All of our lawyers are exceptional advocates for our clients,” said Mr. Cramer. “It’s good to see our firm recognized by Chambers USA, one of the most prestigious guides in the legal industry. We are especially pleased to see our San Francisco office—which was established only three years ago—and office leader and antitrust guru Josh Davis, and our new shareholder Julia McGrath included in the 2026 guide,” added Mr. Cramer. “Josh’s $442 Biosense jury verdict and permanent injunction was a significant trial win for our antitrust team.”
Chambers notes that the False Claims Act, Qui Tam, & Whistleblower Department “…is strongly recognized for its FCA practice. The attorneys represent whistleblowers in qui tam actions and broader civil litigation matters. The team is active in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences spaces.”
Our clients praise the team, saying “The attorneys at Berger Montague have demonstrated exceptional advocacy for me. They have shown tenacity, attention to detail and empathy for my case,” as well as “The lawyers care about my case as if they are in my shoes. They show attention to detail, thorough data analysis and full transparency at all times,” and “The team always understands my business objectives and makes decisions based on my needs, even when at times our interests do not coincide” and that “The lawyers are extremely thorough, fair, and very pleasant to work with”. Chambers also notes that Joy Clairmont is a key contact on the whistleblower team.
The Antitrust team is noted as, “…a preeminent force in the Pennsylvania antitrust market, offering expert counsel to clients from a broad range of industries, including the chemical, pharmaceutical, and financial sectors. The firm is highly distinguished for the strength of its plaintiff-side work acting on monopoly matters and price fixing, including an impressive track record in complex, high-profile class actions.”
Our clients and peers say good things about our Antitrust team noting that “The firm acts with tenacity and inclusive leadership,” as well as “The team has smart lawyers who are very skilled, particularly in handling large-scale antitrust class actions,” “Berger Montague has excellent lawyers who zealously represent their clients. They are also impeccably fair and honest,” and that “Berger does not shy away from pursuing more novel cases or cases that other firms would deem too risky .”
Additionally, the ranking highlights the versatility of Berger Montague’s employees, with David Sorensen and Caitlin Coslett receiving recognition for both their antitrust work and their work on the Caremark whistleblower case.
