From the Front Lines in Minneapolis: Consumer Attorneys Partnering with Advocates for Human Rights

Marika O’Connor Grant, Jordan Hughes, and The Advocates for Human Rights discussed their recent and ongoing work supporting immigrant communities amid intensified ICE enforcement in the Twin Cities.

Ira Rheingold of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) moderated the discussion. This was an opportunity to hear from advocates on the front lines of the clash between lawless immigration enforcement and defenders of the rule of law, and a chance to learn how consumer attorneys in Minneapolis have gone outside of their traditional practice to build strategic partnerships and file habeas petitions and class action lawsuits to protect immigrants.
