Berger Montague and co-counsel serve as putative class counsel on behalf of a proposed class of owners and lessees of Dodge-, RAM-, Jeep-, and Chrysler-branded vehicles equipped with Gen II 5.7-liter HEMI or 6.4-liter HEMI 392 V-8 engines, alleging that the engines in these vehicles have defective valve train systems, FCA’s proprietary Multi-Displacement System, which causes premature wear, costly damage, or catastrophic engine failure.
Other symptoms of the defective valve train system include the vehicle bucking, surging, misfiring, idling roughly, making abnormal noises including ticking, knocking, and chirping. This defect leaves consumers needing to replace valve train components or their engines well before the useful life of these components would be expected.
The vehicles at issue (Class Vehicles) include the following: 2014-2022 Chrysler 300; 2014-2022 Dodge Challenger; 2014-2022 Dodge Charger; 2014-2021, Dodge Durango; 2014-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee; 2014-2020 RAM 1500; 2014-2022 RAM 2500; and 2014-2022 RAM 3500.
