Biography

Aaron S. Haleva is a Senior Counsel at Berger Montague. Mr. Haleva focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, as well as patent and trademark preparation and prosecution in various industries. He has litigated patent cases in the areas of computer architecture and design, signal coding and processing, memory devices, medical data informatics, and memory devices.

His experience in patent prosecution and post-grant challenges spans the areas of computing systems and architecture, digital coding, embedded systems, memory devices and interfaces, artificial intelligence and machine learning, internet of things, complex data mining and decision-making algorithms, medical devices and therapies, pharmaceuticals and immunology, and chemical preparations and manufacturing.

Mr. Haleva has developed vision/image processing systems for autonomous robots, as well as analytical tools to process medical informatics, thus navigating the patenting and licensing arenas as both inventor and attorney. He has a degree in Mathematics, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, where he focused on digital design, robotics and signal processing. 

He is also an ordained rabbi in the Orthodox denomination of Judaism, where he focuses on Talmudic analysis through the lens of ancient oriental manuscripts, Judeo-Spanish literature, and the application of Talmudic Law to modern technologies. He speaks Hebrew, French, Spanish and Arabic.
